MADE BY THE WORD

"All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made." John 1:3

Glory to God! The Word is the building agent of God. As a child of God, the first thing you must be introduced to is the importance of the Word. The Christian life cannot be successfully built on emotions, human opinions, experiences, or the philosophies of men. The Word of God is how everything was made, and if we will build anything in our lives, we must do it by the Word. The Word is God in print. The more we give ourselves to studying the Word, we give ourselves to studying God. Everything we see in creation came into existence by the Word. God spoke, and creation responded. Light came because God spoke. Order came because God spoke. Life came because God spoke. Whatever God wants to build, He builds by His Word. Jesus said, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.” Just as our physical bodies require food to remain alive and healthy, our spirits require the Word. A believer who neglects the Word will eventually become weak in the inner man.

This is why we must create a structure and system for studying the Word every day. We must be intentional about it. We should not leave our Bible study to chance. We should determine when we will study, what we will study, how we will study, and how we will meditate on what we have learned. There should be a deliberate commitment to the Word. Why? Because what fills us eventually manifests through us. When life happens, what we are made of comes out. When pressure comes, what is in our hearts comes out. When we are offended, what is inside us comes out. When we are under financial pressure, relational pressure, or spiritual pressure, what has been deposited in us begins to speak. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. The mouth often reveals the contents of the heart. When the heart is filled with fear, fear will speak. When the heart is filled with bitterness, bitterness will speak. When the heart is filled with unbelief, unbelief will speak. But when the heart is saturated with the Word, the Word will speak through us. The Word builds our thinking. The Word builds our character. The Word builds our faith. The Word builds our convictions. The Word builds our relationships. The Word builds our response to pressure. The Word builds our spiritual capacity. Acts 20:32 says that the Word is able to build us up. This means that our spiritual growth is not accidental. There is a building process, and the Word is one of God's primary instruments for that building. We are made by what we continually receive. If we continually receive the Word, we will increasingly become people whose lives reflect the Word. Let the Word build us. Let the Word shape us. Let the Word govern us. Let the Word speak through us. And let our lives become a living expression of what God has spoken. Then we will see what will come out of us. A beautifully created life by the Word. Hallelujah!!!

PRAYERS

Father, thank You for Your Word that builds us up. Give us a greater hunger for Your Word and the discipline to study, meditate on, and obey it daily. Let Your Word fill our hearts until our thoughts, words, decisions, and responses reflect You in Jesus's name
