PROVING THAT WHICH IS GOOD

"And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Romans 12:2

Glory to God! When we gave our heart to Jesus, we were brought into a new life in God, and that life is life in the Spirit. It is a life powered by God by His Spirit to know what is good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. One of the issues we have seen among believers is the issue of not knowing what God is doing. The issue of being confused as regards the leading of God concerning a given matter. But it is not supposed to be. We have the Holy Spirit resident on the inside of us; we should know His voice and walk according to His leading. So why is there an issue with knowing what the will of God is? The problem is the lack of transformation. From our opening scripture, we are open to what is known as the transformation of the mind. This is the change in our thought life from the natural way of thinking to the spiritual way of thinking. 

The scripture admonishes us not to be conformed to this world, because conformity to the standard of the world will blind us from the standard of the life of God. The world's thought pattern can only produce worldliness, which will eventually lead to confusion and frustration. The way to prove that which is good is through the transformation of our mind. Bringing our minds to be conformed to God's thought and character. The transformation of the mind can be achieved through exposing ourselves to the study of God's word and through fellowship with other believers. When we study God's word, we are brought into the knowledge of how God walked with men and His standards when dealing with men. When we understand the word, we become a proving agent. Because everything we do now passes through the test of the word. Then, we can be able to tell what is good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. The second one is fellowship; through the community of believers, we are exposed to real-life practicality in being spiritual in character and behaviour. We can tell what is not proper and what is proper through our dealings with fellow believers. This is it; you can be studying the Word, but if there is no one to practise love with, you will never be able to tell if you have love. If you want to know what the will of God is concerning any given matter, first be a student of the word, and secondly be part of a church community. God wants you led by His Spirit. Transform your mind today. Hallelujah!!!

  1. What thought patterns or worldly influences do I need to surrender so that my mind can be continually renewed by God's Word?
  2. Am I intentionally growing through personal study of Scripture and active fellowship with other believers so that I can clearly discern God's will?
PRAYERS
Father, thank You for giving me Your Spirit to lead and guide me into all truth. Renew my mind daily through Your Word, and help me reject every pattern of this world that hinders my spiritual growth. Teach me to walk in fellowship with You and with other believers so that I may continually discern and live in Your good, acceptable, and perfect will in Jesus's name

    When we subject our mind to transformation that's When we understand the word of God concerning us and in turn we become a proving agent to God's word and people around us..
