CREATURES OF WORDS

"Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever." 1 Peter 1:23

Glory to God! The Christian life is a supernatural life, born of the Spirit of God, brought into reality by words and can only be sustained by words. Every living creature has their habitation, an environment designed for them to flourish and find expression. The birds have the air, the fish have the sea, and the animals have land as their habitation. Where is the habitation of man? I know you will answer, Land, but man was never created to live in land but on land; man was not created for land, but land was created for man. So where is the habitation of man? The environment where man was created to live in is words. Words are so powerful that God called Himself WORD. John 1:1 says, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." If man was created in the image and likeness of God, then man was created in the image and likeness of Words. We are creatures of words. From our opening scripture, we are taught that the born-again child of God was born of an incorruptible seed, the Word of God which liveth and abideth forever. The Word of God is our habitation; trying to live outside the Word will lead us into dryness and hardship.

The first man was given a word, and his failure to keep that word was what led to hardship and toiling. Man was never created to live in hardship because the Word was designed to be our safe place. The entire world is held together by the spoken word of God. What makes you think you can take control of your life outside the Word of God? The reason for the chaos we have in the world today is because men have decided to live outside the Word of God. Men are creatures of words. If you will win in life, you must learn how to use words rightly. Many people, especially Christians, have missed out in their divine purpose because they were not taught how to use words. The realm of the spirit only understands words. If you don't know how to speak and speak well, you cannot get anything done in life. No matter what you think you know or the strength you have, you cannot hold your life together except the Word. Two things quickly: First, get yourself around an environment with the right words. Look for friends and communities who speak rightly and be among them. Run away from people who talk anyhow. Words are creative agents. Secondly, learn to use words aright. Get to know the Word of God and learn to speak it to yourself aloud. Also learn to compliment people and speak good about others in their presence and in their absence. You were made by words. Don't joke with words. That is where you have been designed to flourish and prosper. Words are the habitation of men. Hallelujah!!!

  1. What kind of words have I been consistently speaking over myself, my family, my future, and my circumstances, and do they agree with God's Word?
  2. What changes do I need to make in my relationships and daily environment so that I am continually surrounded by words that strengthen my faith and draw me closer to Christ?

PRAYERS
Father, teach me to speak words that agree with Your Word, words that build others up and glorify Your name. Remove every pattern of negative, careless, and destructive speaking from my life. Let Your Word dwell richly in me and become the foundation of my thoughts, conversations, and decisions in Jesus's name
