THOUGHTS OF PEACE

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end." Jeremiah 29:11

Glory to God! It's difficult sometimes not knowing what's next or what's happening in your life. As a child of God, one assurance we have is knowing that God’s thoughts toward us are thoughts of peace. Even when we cannot understand what is happening around us, we can trust the heart of the One who holds our future. Our opening scripture was speaking to the children of Israel while they were in captivity. Their present situation did not look like the future God had promised them, yet God wanted them to know that their circumstances had not changed His plan for their lives. Their captivity was not their conclusion. Sometimes, life may make you question God’s plan. You may experience delays, disappointments, losses, or seasons that seem contrary to what you expected. But never allow a difficult season to convince you that God has abandoned you. Your present situation is not necessarily a reflection of God’s thoughts toward you.

God’s thoughts are thoughts of peace, not evil. His desire is to lead us into His purpose, establish us in His will, and bring us to the expected end He has prepared for us. You may not know every detail of the journey, but you can trust the One who knows the end from the beginning. Therefore, refuse fear and pressure. When you are tempted to worry about tomorrow, remember that tomorrow is already known to God. When you do not understand the process, trust His purpose. When the journey seems slow, keep walking with Him. God is not finished with you. Your story is still being written, and His thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace. Today, choose to rest in God’s plan. Trust His timing, follow His Word, and believe that He is working even in seasons you do not fully understand. Hallelujah!!!

  1. Am I allowing my present circumstances to make me doubt God’s good plan and peaceful thoughts towards me?
  2. What area of my life do I need to surrender to God and trust Him for my expected end?
CONFESSION 

God’s thoughts toward me are thoughts of peace and not of evil. I will not be ruled by fear or anxiety. I trust God’s plan for my life, and I believe He will bring me into His purpose and give me an expected end. Amen.

DAILY ENCOUNTER AUGUST 3RD, 2026 PROVING THAT WHICH IS GOOD "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God." Romans 12:2 Glory to God!  When we gave our heart to Jesus, we were brought into a new life in God, and that life is life in the Spirit. It is a life powered by God by His Spirit to know what is good, acceptable, and perfect will of God. One of the issues we have seen among believers is the issue of not knowing what God is doing.
