DIVINE HEALTH BY SERVICE

"And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and he shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee." Exodus 23:25

Glory to God! Divine health is one of the blessings of service in the house of God. There are benefits in our labours in Gos's house, and one of such benefit is divine health. Divine health is greater than healing. It is been shielded from sickness. Instead of being in a position where you need healing, you are given a life where you don't know what it means to be sick. In our opening Scripture, God made it clear about His stand with those who serve His purpose on the earth; they can be assured of His provision, His blessings, and His protection from sickness. He says, “I will take sickness away from the midst of thee.” Serving God is not merely about occupying a position in church or performing religious activities. True service flows from a heart that loves God and is committed to His purposes. When we make ourselves available to God, He takes responsibility for us in such a way that our health is vitalised every day. He promises to bless what we eat and drink and to remove sickness from among us. When you work for a secular organisation, they take care of your health insurance, and they make sure you are healthy to keep working for them. Why? Because they are interested in your continuous wellbeing because of your continuous service. Your being sick will not be beneficial to the organisation. Now, if humans can be that generous, how about our God?

Many people desire the benefits of God's kingdom but overlook the responsibility of service. But the secret to divine health in this kingdom is in kingdom service. The Scripture shows us that there is a blessing attached to serving the Lord. When we devote our strength, time, resources, gifts, and abilities to His work, we position ourselves to experience His faithfulness in our lives. Service also keeps our focus beyond ourselves. When we become committed to God's purposes, we are continually strengthened by His grace to fulfil our assignment. Jesus said, “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work” (John 4:34). There was a supernatural strength that came from His commitment to the Father's will. God is interested in the wellbeing of those who serve Him. He does not want His children to live in constant fear of sickness and disease. Don't just be given to the activities of church, serve God faithfully and walk in the consciousness that the God you serve is interested in keeping you in good health and in sound mind. Hallelujah!!!

  1. Am I serving God wholeheartedly with my time, gifts, strength, and resources, or have I become more interested in what I can receive from Him than in what I can do for His kingdom?
  2. Do I consistently live with the consciousness that God is interested in my wellbeing, trusting His Word and His grace to preserve my health as I fulfil His purpose for my life?

PRAYERS
Father, thank You for the privilege of serving You. Help me to serve You wholeheartedly, faithfully, and with joy. As I commit myself to Your purposes, renew my strength, bless my body, and keep sickness far from me. Empower me to fulfil my assignment on earth in sound health and strength in Jesus's name
