THE POWER OF FELLOWSHIP

"And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers." Acts 2:42

Glory to God! Fellowship is companionship. The ability to belong to the body of believers as a family. Fellowship is one of the greatest gifts God gave to us as believers. The word 'fellowship' refers to a close relationship and shared participation among believers who are united in Christ. It is more than simply gathering together; it is sharing our lives and everything it entails with one another under the lordship of our Lord Jesus Christ. God didn't design the Christian life to be lived in isolation. From our opening scripture, we saw that the early believers gave themselves to continual fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayers. They understood that spiritual growth is made possible through a community of shared faith and an environment where believers are encouraged and love is demonstrated among themselves. 

Fellowship is important because it strengthens our faith. Fellowship creates the environment for believers to encourage one another, share in each other's burdens and uplift each other with grace. Life is too complex to believe one has the answers to everything; the beauty of life is in companionship. There are moments when our personal strength may fail, but through the encouragement of fellow believers, we are strengthened in our walk with God. The power of fellowship can be seen through two lenses: First, fellowship provides the opportunity of partnership. What one person could not have done standing alone, the community of believers can partner with such a believer and make it happen. It is what empowers the force of agreement in prayers and establishes the will of God in the lives of believers on earth. Without fellowship, one is a lone ranger who can be taken out by the enemy at any time. The second level is the challenge of growth that is encouraged among believers in the unity of faith. The place of fellowship is the place where we are challenged to walk in love towards ourselves, and our character is challenged in unity to become like Christ in action and attitude. The power of fellowship is in partnership, which is the companionship of believers and the growth that is formed in believers as we come together in unity. This month, engage conciously in fellowship; it is how healing begins. Companionship and Growth. Hallelujah!!!

1. Am I intentionally committed to the fellowship of believers, or have I allowed isolation to weaken my spiritual growth?
2. In what practical ways can I encourage, support, and strengthen other believers this month while also allowing them to strengthen me?

PRAYERS

Father, thank You for making me a part of Your family. Help me to value and actively participate in the fellowship of believers. Teach me to walk in love and grow in Christ through godly relationships. May my life contribute to the unity, strength, and edification of Your Church in Jesus's name
